Rezumat

Articolul de față își propune să trateze unul dintre aspectele cele mai controversate ale fenomenului de conversie a spațiilor sacre care este preluarea unui locaș de cult de către o altă religie, acesta menținându-și funcțiunea originală de spațiu de cult. Acest tip de conversie este percepută drept o pierdere de către cei care revendicau spațiul în mod original și ca o victorie de către cei care preiau controlul, o situație în care un spațiu există în două ipostaze, cea de spațiu pierdut versus spațiu câștigat, care coexistă în același moment.

Vor fi analizate ipostazele obiectului arhitectural pre și post- conversie din dorința de a oferi o perspectivă de ansamblu asupra schimbărilor survenite în urma conversiei din punct de vedere arhitectural. Expunerea ipostazelor diferite ale unui obiect arhitectural facilitează o înțelegere aprofundată a acestuia și explorează relația dintre forma arhitecturală și impactul său asupra utilizatorului și a modului în care este percepută.

În acest context, articolul își propune să trateze fenomenul conversiei inter-religioase a spațiilor sacre și ipostazele generate de acesta, cu precădere impactul asupra modului în care spațiul devine un simbol în mentalul colectiv și a modului în care individul se raportează la acesta.

Studiul va aborda o cercetare de natură calitativă, bazându-se pe teorii, analize de texte și imagini, studii de caz, interpretări și formularea unor întrebări deschise, demersul fiind unul interpretativ, iar scopul final fiind explorarea și înțelegerea manifestării fenomenului conversiei inter-religioase a spațiilor sacre.
