Upgrade in relation to Lipscani. Local identity between cultural value and value of utilization

Abstract

Lipscani, the old city centre, grained with history, tradition and culture, left too much longer in indifference and oblivion, began to revive again from piles of debris and stone. It is known that in the past, the Lipscani Street which gave its name to the area was one of the most important commercial streets of Bucharest. The marvellous architecture in neoclassical and neo-baroque style of nineteenth century gave a particular character to the centre of the Bucharest.

The present article it intended to a preamble to a decision of „UPGRADE”. In the Lipscani case, the operation being started, is important what can be done from now on. The importance of awareness of the local identity is essential to formulate a correct strategy.
