The Echo (Workshop Workshop “Places beyond the threshold”, Team 3)

Abstract

The Museum of the Romanian Peasant represents a symbolic element situated in the center of Victory Square. Its importance lies in the fact that the building has valuable architecture which has different features from the other buildings around. Through its specific architecture, the museum promotes the traditional Romanian values and transmits a strong message consisting of different identity elements. Despite of its impressive dimensions and appearance, The Museum of the Romanian Peasant is recognized by a limited number of passers-by, so that it was mandatory to explore the space outside the museum building in order to catch citizens’ attention and to make them want to become visitors. Therefore, the message must be simple so that it can be understood by everyone and subliminal, knowing the fact that people are more open to messages that directly address and involve them through the usage of universal values.
