The Symbolic Geometry of a Dwelling

Abstract

Sacred geometry has been and is still used in architecture to integrate a building through its shape, generating traces and proportions into the environment generated in its turn by geometric shapes which can be found both in micro and macro cosmos.

These symbolic shapes are, in fact, archetypal graphic representations of the natural laws. The intention of the designers is to consciously incorporate within their work these symbols, so that the built units might become sacred spaces, endowed with the quality to support us.

The use of the symbolic shapes in architecture reaches several levels in the basic research, both applied and experimental .
