New approaches of the architectural project: fascination of porosity

Abstract

At the theoretical level, porosity represents the ratio between full and empty characterizing an environment that may be traversed by fluids. Porous environments are complex, interstices and apertures making up a genuine structural system capable of multiple connections to other similar or different environments.

This porosity represents a connection point between the technical approach and the phenomenal approach of architecture, hence the fascination this notion has been exerting for sometime on those who think out the city and architecture.
