Historic Buildings intervention Perspectives

This paper aims to develop a system for analyzing architectural interventions that change the configuration of existing buildings with historical value.

In the first part of the work, six criteria of analysis are described and argued. Afterwards these criteria were ordered according to their importance and the implications that these different types of interventions can have on patrimonial value. In the second part, known examples of interventions on heritage buildings in Bucharest are examined briefly to demonstrate the applicability of the system mentioned above.
